Opening the Digital Album
When guests open the digital album link or scan the QR code, they arrive on the album page.
They will see the album background, the event title and the button “Add to album”.
Starting an Upload
Guests tap “Add to album”. They will then choose between two options:
1) "Pick Photos & Videos": allows guests to select media from their device.
2) "text post": allows guests to create a text-only message on a preset background.
Previewing and Editing Before Uploading
After choosing photos, videos, or creating a text post, guests see a preview screen.
They can: review the items they selected, add captions or their name, remove any media they don’t want or add more items before uploading.
Uploading Items
When ready, guests tap “Upload X items” (where X represents the total number of selected files).
A progress screen appears. Guests need to wait until the upload reaches one hundred percent.
When the message “Your uploads are all in” appears, everything has been successfully added. Guests can then view the album or continue uploading.
Viewing “My uploads”
Guests can check and manage their contributions.
They tap the menu icon at the top right corner and select “My uploads”.
Inside this section they will see:
1) "Published": Media that is already visible in the digital album.
2) "Pending": Media that is waiting for admin approval or still processing.
Pending items are also shown as a small pill-shaped button on the corner of the album screen, indicating how many uploads are pending.
Guests will also see thumbnails of those items once they open “My uploads”.
Guests can delete any item they personally uploaded.
Important Note for iOS16 and above Users
After selecting photos or videos and tapping "Add" (or the checkmark on newer iOS versions), the next screen may not appear immediately. iPhones need a moment to prepare the files, and because iOS doesn’t show a loading indicator, it may look like nothing is happening.
Guests should wait a few seconds and tap "Add" again. Once the device finishes preparing the files, the button will respond and the upload will continue.
This delay is a limitation on iOS, and we’re looking into ways to give clearer cues so guests know they simply need to wait.
